Meet dainty little SAMANTHA!

Samantha was barely six or seven months old when she was dropped off at a shelter after being hit by a car. Poor scared little baby couldn't walk and was in such pain. Camp Cocker didn't have the heart to leave her there and we got her out and over to our orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Olds. Turns out that Samantha had a bi-lateral pelvic break and needed double orthopedic surgery. She is on the mend right now, just needs to strengthen her muscles with lots of walking. Dr. Olds says Samantha will need an orthopedic recheck in another six months to make sure she is healed correctly so we want to be very careful about adopting her to someone who will follow up on this (and someone who can afford any further medical she may require). Samantha has such a sweet nature, is open and friendly, loves other dogs and she would do really well in a home where there was another dog that she could curl up next to and nap with. She really is looking for her "mommy dog" and is drawn to dogs who can bring her comfort. She is also quite playful and will romp and play with dogs her own age that can match her energy level. This is one very special girl who has been through a lot and we want to make sure that we find her a home with someone who is equally as special and prepared for any future medical needs.
