Mister Peanut is a senior little man who was rescued from a house of horrors, an animal hoarder with 300 animals! Mister Peanut found himself back in a shelter being held as "evidence" by Los Angeles County. Once he was released for adoption, no one wanted him and although we normally rescue cocker spaniels, we just didn't have the heart to see this little old dog continue to suffer in a shelter. Not after what he had been put through already.

He had suffered such neglect that his teeth and gums were infected (we got him a dental right away) and his skin was so bad that it was black and there was hair loss. Now that we have him on good nutrition and are giving him Malaseb shampoos, his fur is starting to grow back in on his lower back and his skin is looking better and better as each week passes. His nails were so long that they had curled up and around and were growing into the pads of his paws. YET, this boy continued to have the most trusting and sweetest nature! Remarkable, just simply remarkable.

Mister Peanut now needs to find the most amazing and special home in all of the world. Not just someone who wants a pet, but someone who wants a little senior dog to cherish and spoil and give the best of care to. He is so good-natured, just goes with the flow. It is amazing what he has been through and yet he has such a loving personality. He is just now learning to play with toys and play with other small dogs. His foster mommy is fostering another small senior dog and she and Mister Peanut have begun to play with one another. So sweet to watch as Mister Peanut is coming out of shell shock and blossoming into a happy dog. Are you that special amazing person that Mister Peanut has been waiting for?
